Against each other

Wanted to speak on a matter that has been argued among blacks for generations , and that is tha hypocritical argument of ” Unity “. As we know there are those blacks that get in public for tha sake of appearance and argue that there should be more black unity. But behind tha scenes their thoughts and actions are far removed from anything unified....... And this disunity exists in all aspects of black culture from religion to even music. We saw this with Dr.Martin Luther King and Malcolm X , they were opposing each other at every turn, but what many don’t see is that ” those around them ” were encouraging this. These are tha ones that live to pit people against each other for tha entertainment of seeing ” Two Dogs Fight ” not really caring at all about tha cause these people stand for that just a fact of lyfe. It is sad but true that a lot of blacks have a ”Gang Mentality” and Martin was unknowingly tha leader of one faction. And Malcolm tha leader of another and it was not acceptable by tha members of tha gang to have them unify. I’m sure one side was telling Martin he saw better , and tha other telling Malcolm he was better to fuel tha competition between tha two.But in fact they both were great, but imagine how powerful they would have been together "sadly we will never know"...And this scenario was played out again with Tupac and Biggie back in the 90′s – apart they were great but imagine if that competitive attitude wasn’t present and they had collaborated "I wonder how much great music have we missed out on because of this ” I’m better than you attitude “ "I mean is this about making great music and entertaining tha world or is it about entertaining your own ego" Now comes Prince and Michael Jackson, two great artist ” Kings ” of the talents and styles they possess. On one hand Prince is a great “ Musician “, and Michael a great ” Entertainer “. Michael Jackson never claimed to be a musician he only claimed to be a great entertainer/performer. And Prince never claimed to be a great stage performer , he only claims to be a great musician/composer. But I’m sure there have been those around them throughout there careers with the ” You’re better than him mentality ” – pitting that dog fight. So once again we have missed out on some great and historical music – and these artist are probably nowhere near as rich as they should be because of this. And the record industry is suffering because Millions or even Trillions of dollars have Never been made due to this silly and unproductive mentality.I’m sure other artist have friendly competitions but it never gets personal and turns into a war. I’m sure its for tha improvement of their crafts and for the sake of making money and upping the ante on the value of their work. But blacks want to beat each other for the sake of destroying the legacy of tha other artist – and those less talented and secretly jealous of both Their Guy and Tha Other Guy are happy to urge them on to do it. But only tha legacy of tha artist is diminished not tha legacy of tha ones pitting tha fight - because they have nothing to gain or loose. So I ask to all tha Black Artists/Musicians when will this be simply about making great and memorable music.... Or will you continue to use your music and your careers to promote a dis-unified culture until tha value of music has no value...Let's shaking hands and ending obedience to tha Gang Mentality that was hindering their evolution.
