Black Anger

Now wait. Before you say I am “selling out”,I love African American people my parents are African American my brother's are African American and I’m raising two future African American men. As much as I love African American people I will also defend African American people passionately,But I am losing patience with angry black people. Because of tha stigma of “Black anger” looms over the head of most black people. Our anger have created tha blueprint by which African American people are judged. African American people have to play it cool when they are expressing themselves in order to not be mistaken as angry.

I’m not talking about tha passion, frustration and natural anger that African American people expresses. I’m talking about the black anger in people who seem to be only capable of striking with words because we presumes every one is against us.

I understand what African American people experience on a daily basis. It can be difficult and painful to have to deal with stereotyping, fear and  criticism.  So please empathize with our pain of having to prove to others that we are not always dangerous or a threat to society. However, we need to be accountable for our behavior and how we influence tha next generation of African American people.
I am tired of seeing angry black people with chips on their shoulders who are so ready to prove their manhood by being violent and disrespectful.I urge my people to “be better, not bitter”. I know that this is easier said than done, but we are not tha only one who deals with discrimination, ignorance, and disregard. By behaving the way we do, we are perpetuating tha same stereotype that make our anger comes out.

We need to stop this vicious cycle of anger. We have to be conscious of how this anger permeates families and communities. This anger is destroying family values and is so steeped into our core that we lash out at strangers, family, friends of anyone we feel is “out to get us”. As a result, we have black young boys to men who are displaying tha same anger and frustration. It’s sad to see African American young boys to men that lack self-control and are disrespectful.

Let's stop blaming tha “tha man” for all our woes. There are other people out there who have faced tha same challenges and adversity as us and are doing great things with their lyfe. They are not letting their anger control them. They understand that while racism and discrimination is still prevalent in our society, they choose to respond and not react to these situation

  • Let's stop cursing people out for minor infractions.
  • Let's stop sitting on the train grilling like you are waiting for someone to start with you
  • Let's stop trying to intimidate those you want to control because you lack self-control.
  • Let's stop making excuses for what’s holding you back in lyfe.

There are people who have done more with their lives with less resources. Let's Try I kno it hard but at least try to stop thinking black women are tha enemy.  If tha African American women you are encountering are bitter and resentful, move on. Don’t try to be in a relationship with them and bring children into your misery. Stop looking for a target for your anger. Most importantly, stop taking the low road, We are strong and emotionally healthy People let's act that way.
